Benefits of Juicing

We hear about juicing everywhere we go – on ads, social media, sometimes even a physician will discuss it with you. At Science Based Wellness, we always encourage our patients to juice every day. It may seem overwhelming at first and it may take some time to get used to, but we would like to share some valuable information for beginners, and even to the experienced juicers.

A daily juice habit offers tremendous health benefits, all by adding just one juice a day to your health routine. We are referring to fresh, raw, leafy green veggies and low sugar fruit juices, not the store-bought, sugar bombs in fancy bottles or anything. We’re talking the real stuff!

By juicing, your body can absorb nutrients quickly without having to digest fibers and other components in whole foods. Juicing also allows you to get a broader intake of vitamins and minerals – more than what you may be getting in your regular diet. It is so much easier and convenient to reach the recommended 10 servings a day!

How to Juice

We recommend extracting the nutrient-rich liquid from whole vegetables and fruits using a juicer like the Nutribullet. The “by-product” of juicing is the pulp, which is a rich source of fiber and can easily be incorporated into all sorts of tasty recipes.
